While the flowers of the native Tasmanian Blue Gum have been Tasmania’s floral emblem since 1962, Tasmania’s First Peoples knew of its benefits long before. Today, the leaves are harvested from sustainable plantations and steam distilled to produce an essential oil with the distinctive eucalyptus fragrance so evocative of the Australian bush. - Body care: a 2012 report published in the Asia Pacific Journal of Tropical Disease revealed it has potent antiseptic and anti-fungal properties which helps to remove the build-up of germs in the hair follicles on our skin.
