About

The Farmacist and the Farm Assist

It's a love story. I met him in The Bull Inn, England, 1990. I became the head cook. He helped in the kitchen. I took him to Australia.

Three kids later, we lost our Queenslander dwelling in Cyclone Larry. Tassie beckoned. We escaped.

We feel so blessed that we found our forever property on the north west coast.

In 2017, while working in China (daughter house sat), I washed my hands and my skin peeled! I had two epiphanies. 1. To make my own soap so I'd know what was in it. 2. To use only Tasmanian ingredients. I had to trust what I used on my body.

Back in Tassie, Tasmanian Soap Farm began.

Then, my dentist told me to use soap to brush my teeth. My tooth enamel had worn off from toothpaste abrasives! I created my toothsoap, which my dentist bought and recommended to his patients.

Nick's always lending a helping hand while I continue formulating, creating and bringing familiar and also new products to life. We're living our best life!

A collage of multiple outdoor farm and rural scenes: Michelle Bennett in a field holding a basket, a black cockatoo perched on a tree, hanging purple wisteria flowers, tractors and harvested hay, distant snow capped mountains, horses, and a hand holding a glass of red liquid-it's camelia flower tea. The image functions as a lifestyle/editorial collage rather than a clean product shot. All photos are from Tasmanian Soap Farm.

Where the magic happens

With the cleanest air, the best rain and spring water on tap, views over the fertile rolling countryside to Bass Strait, or a snow covered St. Valentines Peak, this is home. This is Tasmanian Soap Farm.
